Welcome to the Mountain Masters at 7 Springs & Hidden Valley Resorts, Champion, Pa. This year will mark our 25th anniversary of hosting this tournament. Although we've changed names, locations and charities over the years, we have always been committed to the same goal. To bring you the best experience we can in a golf tournament and provide as much as we can for our charity. During the past 24 years we've helped numerous causes. From The Mario Lemieux Foundation, to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, to Folds of Honor and Warriors for Freedom.
This year we've decided to partner with John Daly & Maj Ed Pulido in supporting the John Daly/Maj. Ed Heart of a Lion Foundation. I've had the privilege of not only meeting and talking with John Daly, but also attended a Steelers game with him years ago and shared a few beverages as well. He started this foundation along with Maj. Ed as a way of giving back to not only our nation's veterans and their families for their mental, physical, and wellness support. But to assist our nation's first responders and their families in their time of need.
Maj. Ed Pulido U.S. Army (Ret.) Bronze Star with Valor and Purple Heart Recipient was critically wounded on August 17, 2004. Maj. Ed's humvee struck an I.E.D. in Iraq while stationed with the Coalition Military Assistance Team and had his left leg amputated from the knee down. Maj. Ed has made it his mission since, to assist veterans in need and travels the country to support them in any way he can. You would be hard pressed to find a more patriotic or energetic American than Maj. Ed! His favorite saying is always, "What a great day to be an American!" I'm honored to call him my friend.
